~- The Broken Nest -~

Ioan (2)

Janos was still standing in the balcony. The expression of his face looked the same as before: cold and unpredictable. The city below looked the same too, joy seemed flew away from the city lights, leaving a heartless twinkling below. A dark shadow suddenly appeared not far from the place he was standing. It moved smoothly to him, reaching his back slowly. The moving shadow then faded into a shape of a man. The man appeared to be a tall slim young man with a long white hair. He was much younger than Janos’ age. His expression was a bit better than Janos, although a bit of coldness still gleamed from him. His outfit didn’t look ordinary for a contemporary Methuselah. He was wearing a black cloak with shades like a giant wings. Janos lingered to the young man coldly, he didn’t look surprised at all. It seemed he was expecting him.

The man reached out both his hands to Janos, slide his sharp pointy finger nails smoothly to Janos shoulder. Janos caught it as it tried to slip away further. The man chuckled as Janos tossed his hands. Janos didn’t say anything but starring sharply to the young man. The young man ignored his stare and smiled wittily,
“Everything is settled exactly as you’ve asked.”
“Can you behave a bit more serious Nicola?” Janos seemed a bit upset with Nicola’s wit. The young man named Nicola grinned widely, showing his fangs.
“My behavior has nothing to do with my works. I never let you down, you know.”
Nicola was right. To Janos, Nicola was more like an extension of his own hands than just a mere subordinate. Nicola was always knew what he wants and he always did exactly as Janos expected. As far as he remembered, Nicola never made a mistake even once in missions he was assigned. Janos was always pleased with his achievement but at the same time he was a bit worried because Nicola’s attitude was beyond average officers. He always teased Janos and knew very well that Janos would not be upset, even more, Janos seemed have a big toleration for his acts. He could not knew exactly his reasons, but he has a wild guess on what is going on in his mind. Most probably because Janos was his superior and because Janos was always made himself reserved.
“You always tensed. I know how to make you relax a bit…” Nicola moved closer to Janos, looked at him in a meaningful way. Janos starred at him, flame burned in his eyes but he didn’t say anything. He turned away his eyes from Nicola, seemed avoided him. He said over his back,
“Remember, don’t let anyone touch him.” Still smiling, Nicola touched his back,
“Don’t worry about it. Everything is set perfectly.” Janos starring at the city as it would bowed to him,
“Leave him to me. I will deal with him personally. Go now!”

As Nicola went away, an officer rushing to Janos,
“Sir, officer Vasilica has escaped.” Didn’t look surprise, Janos said,
“Close the city border. Search every possible way he might go. You can hurt him but don’t kill him. I want him alive.”
